RoguePlanetoid Weekly Update #97
14th September 2026
This month I published my latest Episode of the RoguePlanetoid Podcast on Windows Phone,
which has proven to be one of the most popular episodes of the Podcast with many downloads via YouTube Music
in just the first few hours, so I really appreciate those who took time to listen and also my very first comment, which was "ok"! Nostalgia will also be the theme
of two upcoming Episodes of the Podcast which will be on Xbox and Zune which both had a massive
impact on me in different ways so is great to look back on those in their 25th anniversary for Xbox and 20th anniversary for Zune.
This week it is great to see Comentsys.Toolkit.Blazor has proven popular
again thanks to an update which also included a Developer Reference with
around one hundred downloads for the latest version. It will also be interesting to see how people may use these components in their own Blazor
applications so if you're planning on using these components then let me know as it would be great to showcase them here on RoguePlanetoid.com.
This week I'll be at my first event for a few months, Pizza and Pull Requests,
where there will be talks on AI with Ethics: Exploring the Coexistence, The Craft of Software Development and Web Performance - Time to First Pizza. There should
be plenty to discuss as my entire software development workflow has changed since the last event I went to so will be interesting to learn from the talks and hear
experiences from others there too!

RoguePlanetoid Weekly Update #96
1st September 2026
This month it good to be back after taking time out from own projects for personal reasons, there's the latest episode of the RoguePlanetoid Podcast
about Windows Phone, it may be long gone but it had a major impact on my career with a fantastic developer
experience for mobile development that is hard to match compared with today's mobile development platforms especially the emulator experience and begins the
theme of the next few Episodes of the Podcast.
This week it was good to get the Article for TechNExt 2026 - Data and AI Hub published with sessions
from the morning, although was unable to attend the rest of the events that day and week it was a really great experience and look forward
to getting involved next year with TechNExt 2027! Another Article is on Datalyst 2026 which I took time
to attend to step in as a back-up speaker, although that was not needed it was great to be there!
Last month Microsoft announced the next phase of the open-source journey covered in my article, WinUI development in the open,
it is great to see Microsoft making efforts on GitHub
to make WinUI a collaborative experience for developers. This week will also see an update to my Toolkit for Blazor,
with it getting few a fixes and update for .NET 10 along with a new developer reference website for
Comentsys.Toolkit.Blazor.
