RoguePlanetoid Weekly Update #95
8th June 2026
Last week was Microsoft Build, which was full of interesting and
informative topics which kicked off with the Keynote from Satya Nadella
joined by others to talk about the latest innovations for developers which was then followed by a variety of
Sessions going in depth with those subjects and more.
It is aways great to be able to watch the Sessions, although the time difference meant catching up with most sessions
after the fact but was great to watch and follow the keynote live, I remember being there back
at Microsoft Build 2012 in person and each time I've watched it since
has reminded me of that experience!
Last week also saw Workshop Wednesday which my new Workshop on
.NET Notes MCP to create an MCP Server using
Model Context Protocol in .NET that offered simple Note management
Tools that could be used by GitHub Copilot. I'm hoping that this will be a great way to get
started with Model Context Protocol using .NET for many developers out there. Last week I also
starting finalising the Modules for Learning Programming with C# and .NET,
starting with the first Module which will form part of new live online Course to help get started
and unlock your developer potential with C#and .NET!
This week will be a chance to catch up on more Sessions from Microsoft Build as well as work on a
few things before the big event next week, which will be TechNExt. I don't
have anything to do this year, which was a shame as was really looking forward to another opportunity to be involved, but will instead
aim to attend more events than last year and hopefully put together something interesting for next year so I can get involved once again!

RoguePlanetoid Weekly Update #94
1st June 2026
There have been some issues that I had to focus on recently but glad to say things have improved and am back to attending Events again
last month such as Dev Hub North with a great talk and panel discussion from Seriƶs Group
and .NET Meetup Newcastle, which was a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable event, with talks
from Babatunde Esanju, who was involved with my .NET Conf 2025 - Newcastle upon Tyne
event last year, about approached to developing packages from what he learned developing PayBridge and CronCraft along with
Alex Hedley who talked about Blazor including libraries he developed including Utlity and Blashing.
This week is Microsoft Build, which this year is hosted in San Francisco, although not there in person will
be watching the keynotes and sessions online as I have done for the past few years and will be writing Articles and talking about them
on the next Episode of the RoguePlanetoid Podcast in July. The last few episodes of the Podcast have
talked about my journey into .NET with Visual Basic, starting with
.NET Framework for Desktop, followed by .NET Framework for Web. It
has been great to talk about my experiences with .NET from the start how that led to the latest and greatest in modern .NET development.
This week will feature Workshop Wednesday, with the release of a brand-new Workshop of .NET Notes MCP,
which shows step-by-step how to work with Model Context Protocol in .NET with a simple notes application and then using this
with GitHub Copilot. I'm also planning on doing a live online session where I will go through the Workshop step-by-step in
the future and hopefully there will be opportunities to talk about it in person or perform the Workshop in person too, if anyone is interested
in me doing that then let me know!
