Zune going International

This week featured the announcement that Zune will be expanding it’s services beyond the United States, detailed in this press release released a couple of days ago are the details. For the UK this mean Zune Music on PC, Phone (Windows Phone 7) and the Xbox 360 with Zune Pass at £8.99 per month and Music and Video purchasing available. This is great news for the UK, but no unexpected as I’d been hinting about the Zune services launching in the UK.

However there is one notable absentee from this Zune feature list - the Zune devices as these still are not being released world wide, as some people may know I own the Zune 80 and Zune HD and they are great devices, expecially the latter, if there is to be a Zune HD 2 I hope it is released in the UK and elsewhere too, but at least from this Autumn people here in the UK will know Zune a lot better so there is that!
