Windows Phone 7 announcement October 11th?

Seems like the rumours of a Windows Phone 7 event next month are getting more specific with a date of October 11th which is a week before I thought, and hopefully the event the previous week I’m attending will give more clues to any launch happening then! The launch event seems to be happening in New York and may be streamed worldwide much like the original Mobile World Congress initial announcement. Hopefully these rumours are true, there is no reason to suggest that this won’t be the case as the Operating System has already gone “gold” and some operators devices are starting to appear, so something in a Month’s time seems more and more likely.
